Meet Liz:
Liz Desloge Ellis is an experienced litigation shareholder at Stearns Weaver Miller, representing private and public sector clients. She previously served as an Assistant State Attorney in Florida's Second Judicial Circuit, where she conducted more than 50 jury trials as first chair, ranging from traffic offenses to life felonies.
Liz has an extensive record of bar service, including membership on the Florida Bar's Standing Committee on Professionalism and the Second Circuit Grievance Committee Committee 2B. She has served on the Tallahassee Bar Association Board since 2021, including as President of the Young Lawyers Section, Events Chair, and co-chair of the annual Chili Cookoff benefitting the Legal Aid Foundation. In November 2024, she was elected without opposition to serve as President of the Tallahassee Bar Association beginning in January 2026.
A tenth-generation Tallahasseean, Liz also serves her community as President of Refuge House and as Curriculum Chair for Leadership Tallahassee. She lives in Tallahassee and is a proud dog mom to Peaches and Sazzy.
